We begin our Himalayan adventure by heading towards the stunning city of Pokhara. The captivative views of nature start from here. Pokhara offers you the whole beauty of nature. From silent lakes to nasty springs, from musty caves to busy streets Pokhara makes your heart stay there.
Before reaching Annapurna sanctuary, you trek through the lush green forests guided by the majestic Himalayas on the horizon, the journey takes us to the picturesque Gurung homestays. Here ancient culture is reflected in the unique way of the villager's lives. Your journey is cherished with the warm welcome of the Gurung community. It is somewhere you get to learn unity and harmony. Exploring the beautiful Himalayan landscape, we make our way over to the ethnic village of Bamboo. We enjoy the pleasantly hot water springs at Jhinu Danda. The final days of the trek take us over to the staying of Pothana before we eventually descend towards the Phedi village, which brings our trek to a close.
Ghorepani and Poon Hill trek (3210 m) is one of the most aesthetically pleasing journeys. The sights of entire forests covered in veritable shades of red, white, and pink foliage simply demand your attention. Climbing the heavy staircase over to Ulleri, we will reach Ghorepani. Then we head towards the Himalayan Poon hill. We enjoy the remarkable Himalayan panorama of the majestic Annapurna Himalayas. Then we make our way back to the tea house of Sinuwa before heading towards Deurali.
Tikhedhunga is a small village in the north-west of Pokhara. It is famous for being a first stop place for trekkers in the Annapurna region to stay overnight. Driving towards the trailhead at Nayapul, we begin the journey heading towards the stay of Tikhedhunga for our first night on the go.
Further on, the path crosses the Machhapuchhre Base Camp and the trail then takes us to the Mount Annapurna Base Camp at an altitude of 4130m. Annapurna Sanctuary trek takes you to both Macchapuchre and Annapurna Base Camp. The majestic view from closer, mountain air, picturesque nature is what you take for the rest of your life from this trek.
The best time to do Annapurna Sanctuary trek is pre-monsoon (February- May). Post monsoon period (September – December) is also good to make this trek.

Touching down at Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be welcomed by a Himalaya Land Treks’ representative who will guide you directly to the hotel. Freshening up from the day's adventure, you will be further introduced to other members of the staff, including your guides for the trek. Wrapping up the day with a short briefing session on the journey ahead, you are free to head down to the local regions enjoying the pleasant evening.
The first day of our journey and we begin with a scenic tour around the capital city, touring the stunning UNESCO world heritage sites. The journey takes us to the holy temple of Swayambhunath- revered by both Hindus and Buddhists. Enjoying the tranquil atmosphere, we make our way down to another holy site of Pashupatinath. For the cultural side of things, we make our way over to the Kathmandu Durbar Square where traces of ancient way of life can be seen through the medieval architectures. The journey comes to a close at Boudhanath as we enjoy the tranquil environment alongside the views of the sunset
An early start to the day, we will begin our journey heading over to the valley of Pokhara. Exiting Kathmandu, the journey follows the winding bends of the Prithvi Highway to find the banks of the Trishuli River. Heading past countless vibrant hamlets and picturesque towns, you will reach Pokhara. From here, we make our way directly to the hotel for refreshments before heading to the banks of the Fewa Lake to enjoy the pleasant evening.
The first day of the trek and we begin our journey with a scenic drive headed towards the hilly hamlet of Nayapul located just beyond the scenic Modi Khola. Kicking off our journey with a lovely ascent through the lush green forests, we make our way to Birethanti for a brief rest. Next, we follow the pleasant hilly landscape to Tikhedhunga for our first night on the go.
One of the more challenging days of the trip today, we climb over to Ghorepani for the night. The journey begins with a steep ascent as we make our way up the staircase leading to Ulleri. The tiring journey may make them seem like more, but the trek is worth the effort. Past Ulleri the trail ascends further, but this time gently through the stunning lush green forests heading up to Ghorepani.
An early start to the day, we begin our journey with a scenic hike to the Himalayan viewpoint of Poon Hill. Spread across the horizon, the majestic peaks of Annapurna South (7,219m), Annapurna I (8,091m), Annapurna II (7,937m), Annapurna III (7,555m), Dhaulagiri (8,167m), Lamjung Himal (6,983m), and Machhapuchhre (6,993m) glisten with the early morning rays of the sun to create a spectacular Himalayan panorama. Enjoying the pleasant Himalayan views, we descend back to Ghorepani before setting off through the lush green forests to reach Tadapani.
Exiting Tadapani, we begin our journey once again following the lush green forests towards Sinuwa for the night. Ascending from Tadapani, the journey takes us over to Jhinu Danda crossing the Modi Khola once again before reaching Chhomrong. A lovely viewpoint to observe the stunning beauty of Machhapuchhre (6,993m), we take some time off at Chhomrong before heading towards Sinuwa.
Making our way out of Sinuwa, we begin our journey once again ascending through the lush green forests towards Dovan. Enjoying the scenic beauty of the Annapurna Himalayan Range, the trail takes us to upper Dovan where we take some time off to enjoy the pleasant landscapes around us. Picking up where we left off, the journey once again takes us through the pleasantly forested trail to reach the banks of a stream which marks the final stretch of our journey.
Wrapping up our things at Deurali, we begin our ascending journey through the snowy trail to reach the Machhapuchhre Base Camp (3700m). Amidst the majestic Annapurna range, the mesmerizing Machhapuchhre (6,993m) peak shines- claiming its spot as one of the highest mountains yet to be conquered. Taking some time off at the Machhapuchhre Base Camp (4,130m), we continue our journey towards the Annapurna Base Camp. Trekking for about two hours through the desolate Himalayan landscape, we arrive at the Base Camp located at an altitude of 4,130m.
A scenic start to the day blessed with views of the Annapurna Range at sunrise makes the trek more beautiful. We will begin our descending journey heading towards Bamboo for the night. Past the snowy trail, the journey once again leads us to lush green forests adorned with pine and fir trees. A descending journey, the trail today is a pleasant one and takes us to Bamboo which takes its name from the surrounding bamboo trees.
Exiting Bamboo, the trail begins its descending journey heading towards Jhinu Danda for the night. Following the lush green forests south, the trail once again reaches the hamlet of Sinuwa before climbing onto Chhomrong. The final stretch of the journey takes us to Jhinu Danda with the stunning Machhapuchhre (6,993m) to our back. Home to natural hot springs, the hamlet is a lovely place to rest from our long journey. Overnight at Jhinu Danda.
Through the banks of the stunning Modi Khola, we once again begin our journey heading towards Pothana for the night. Following the banks of the Modi River, the trail takes us to the scenic hamlet of Lumle. Taking some time off to enjoy the picturesque Himalayan landscapes, we will begin our descending journey to reach Landruk before setting off for Bhichok. The final stretch of the journey takes us through the lovely forests to reach Pothana.
The final day of trekking, the journey descends over to Phedi located alongside the Baglung- Pokhara Highway. The journey is a pleasant one as we descend to the picturesque town of Dhampus, continuing the journey to reach the hamlet of Phedi. Taking the bus from Phedi, the journey takes us through the banks of the Seti Gandaki River to reach the picturesque Pokhara valley.
With an early start to the day, the journey begins as we make our way out of the Pokhara valley, once again finding the winding bends of the Prithvi Highway. The journey is a pleasant one and takes us along the banks of Rivers, including Seti and Trishuli. Following the Prithvi Highway past the picturesque towns, we will reach the Kathmandu valley, heading directly for the hotel. Later, you will participate in a farewell dinner hosted by the Himalaya Land Treks.
A company representative will drop you back to Tribhuvan International Airport just in time for your flight back home. We hope you had a lovely time with us and we look forward to seeing you again.
