You arrive at the country of Himalayas, Nepal via the Tribhuvan International Airport. At the airport, a Himalaya Land Treks’ representative will welcome you warmly and accompany you to the hotel. For the rest of the day, you can feel free to explore around the city.
On this day, you will indulge in a sightseeing tour around the glorious Kathmandu Valley. The valley is full of world heritage sites enlisted by UNESCO and you will visit a fair share of these destinations on this day. Beginning from Swayambhunath, the tour heads to the Kathmandu Durbar Square. The latter half of the tour reaches the holy Pashupatinath Temple and conclude the tour with a visit to Boudhanath. You can also prepare and shop for necessary equipment for the trip while you tour around the city.
You have an early breakfast and catch the first flight to Lukla. There, you meet your porters and local guide who will accompany throughout the trip. After resting for a while, you will head to Phakding. The trail gently goes uphill and you walk along the banks of the Dudh Koshi River. You walk pass small Sherpa settlements along the river bank and reach Phakding.
After breakfast, you walk upstream of the Dudh Koshi River. Crossing a few suspension bridges, you will pass by villages like Monjo and Bengkar. Then, you will reach the entrance of the Sagarmatha National Park and show your permits. After showing your permit, you will walk through the park's pine forest and climb along a steep upward journey to reach Namche Bazaar.
Since the altitude on the trek is continuously getting higher, you need to acclimatize. You will have your breakfast and explore the busy market area of Namche today, enjoying the Himalayan town's coffee shops and restaurants. Then, you will have your lunch and hike to the Everest View Hotel. You can also visit Syangboche as well from where the views of the Everest massif and the town below are quite marvelous. After enjoying the views, you will head back to Namche Bazaar.
After breakfast, you will ascend to Dhole. As you walk along the Dudh Koshi River, you will come at a junction between the Everest Base Camp Trail and the Mong La Pass. You will take the latter trail and go straight uphill. The trail is strenuous but once you to the top of the pass, you will get amazing views of the Mt. Everest (8848m) and its neighboring peaks. Then, you will descend to Phortse and then walk through rhododendron forests to reach Dhole.
After having breakfast, you will head to the trail leading to Machhermo. You will ascend from the banks of the Dudh Koshi and ascend through juniper and pine forests. En route, you can come across many summer huts used by the local people for their livestock. You can also see amazing views of the Cho Oyu (8201m) and Mount Thamserku (6608m). Once you reach Machhermo, you can explore the town after freshening up.
You have your breakfast and start to trek towards the Gokyo Lake. Walking through the Kangtega gorge, you can enjoy the stunning views of the Cho Oyu (8201m). Then, you descend from the gorge and walk along the Dudh Koshi River. You also get to see the Ngozumpa Glacier en route. After crossing the glacier, you reach Gokyo village for overnight stay.
The sunrise from Gokyo Ri (5360m) is spectacular, so you wake up at dawn and to the top of the peak to witness it. After reaching the summit, you are rewarded with amazing views of Lhotse (8516m), Cho Oyu (8201m), the Mt. Everest (8848m), Makalu (8475m), and other neighboring peaks. Then, you set out to explore the Gokyo Lakes, the highest freshwater lake system in the world. After visiting the six lakes, you head back to the lodge for dinner.
You take the trail that goes steeply up till Renjo La Pass (5360m). The trail goes along grasslands and en route, the trail starts to get rocky. Once you reach the top, you can get amazing views of the Rolwaling, Everest, and Lhotse ranges along with Gokyo Lakes, and many more natural landmarks. After enjoying the view, you descend to the banks of the Bhote Koshi River. You walk through the Bhote Koshi Valley and pass by yaks and meadows. Then, you reach Lumde for overnight stay.
Today, you descend to lower altitudes; so, the trek may get easier for you. You walk through rhododendron forests and cross the Bhote Koshi River. En route, you can see amazing views of the mountain landscapes and mountains like Cho Oyu (8201m) and Kyajo Ri (6186m). After a gentle descent, you will reach Thame. You then visit the famous Thame monastery after refreshing to experience the lifestyle of the Buddhist monks.
After having breakfast, you head to Namche Bazaar. You pass by small rustic villages like Sansa and Monjo. You also get to see amazing sceneries of the Kongde Ri Himal range. You walk through a pine forest, cross a suspension bridge, and reach Namche Bazaar. By late afternoon, you reach your lodge. You can explore the shops in your free time before dinner.
After having breakfast, you descend to the banks of the Dudh Koshi River to head towards Lukla. Today is the last day of trekking so, the trail gets easy for you. Try to enjoy the surroundings and take in the views as much as you can. As you descend, you cross many suspension bridges. The trail goes through rhododendron forests and you pass by many small settlements along the way to Lukla.
You have an early breakfast and catch the first flight to Kathmandu. From the airport, the company staff will pick you up and transfer you to the hotel. You can feel free to enjoy your stay at the hotel and rest. After refreshments, we would like you to share your experience of the trip with us.
Today, you have the entire day to yourself. You can explore the historic sites like Kathmandu and Patan Durbar Squares or discover the unique Newari cuisines at Kirtipur. You can plan the day however you want and we provide local guides for the tour. Similarly, hiking destinations like Shivapuri, Nagarkot, and Kakani are also excellent ways to spend the day. You will participate in a farewell dinner hosted by the Himalaya Land Treks at the end of the day.

With a challenging geographical structure and unpredictable climate, internal flight delays are quite frequent, especially so in the Himalayan regions of the country. The flights are even canceled if the weather conditions worsen. As such, we advise you to travel to Nepal during autumn and spring seasons.
