Nepal Cultural Tour

You’ll land in Tribhuvan International Airport and our Himalaya Land Treks’ representative will welcome you and then drive you to our hotel. You’ll have a light meal and then will be introduced to the tour guide. The guide will give a brief orientation about the tour and you will prepare for the tour. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.

Your tour will commence with a sightseeing excursion in the Kathmandu valley. During this day, you will have the opportunity to explore some of the places that represent ancient Nepal, namely the Kathmandu Durbar Square and Patan Durbar Square.

In these locations, you will be able to witness the fascinating architecture and learn about the rich history of Nepal. Additionally, you will also visit two major pilgrimage sites for Buddhists, the Swayambhunath Stupa and Boudhanath Stupa.

Continuing the religious theme, you will also visit the Pashupatinath temple, which is a revered holy site dedicated to Lord Shiva. Following your sightseeing in the Kathmandu valley, you will embark on a drive to Nagarkot. The journey will provide you with glimpses of lush green hills and fields of rice, wheat, and other crops. You will spend the night in Nagarkot, resting and preparing for the next leg of your adventure.

The following day, you will wake up early in the morning and make your way to the top of Nagarkot to witness the breathtaking sunrise. As the sun emerges from behind the series of Himalayan mountains, the view is nothing short of magnificent. Nagarkot is an ideal spot to catch glimpses of the Himalayas in the Ganesh Himal, Jugal, and Langtang ranges. After enjoying the sunrise, you will have the opportunity to visit the small Tamang settlements and even go for a horse ride if you are interested.

After lunch, you will return to the Kathmandu valley to visit the historic Changunarayan temple, known for its intricate carvings and unique architecture. Next, you will visit the Bhaktapur Durbar Square and Naytapola, two more landmarks that showcase the rich cultural heritage of Nepal. You will spend the night in Bhaktapur, resting and rejuvenating for the next day's adventures.

Continuing your adventure, you will drive from the Kathmandu valley to Pokhara, with several scenic stops along the way. As you leave the bustling city behind, you will first reach Thankot and then navigate the winding roads until you reach Naubise, where the road becomes straighter. As you drive on, you will be accompanied by the glistening Trishuli River, passing by the town of Malekhu before finally reaching Kurintar.

From here, you will board a cable car that will take you to the Manakamana temple, a significant Hindu pilgrimage site located in the Gorkha district. This grand temple, one of the largest in Nepal, attracts hundreds of pilgrims every day.

After visiting the temple, you will return to Kurintar via cable car and then continue your journey to Pokhara, which will take approximately three hours. You will spend the night in Pokhara, resting and preparing for the exciting adventures that lie ahead.

The following day, after a delicious breakfast, you will embark on a delightful boat ride on Phewa Lake, a serene and picturesque lake in Pokhara. You will also visit the Barahi temple, located on an island in the lake, and explore its ancient architecture and religious significance. After the boat ride, you will have some time to relax and enjoy the beautiful lakeside surroundings while savoring a delicious lunch.

In the afternoon, you will visit the fascinating Mahendra cave, famous for its unique rock formations and underground waterfalls. Later, you will drive up to the World Peace Stupa, situated on top of a hill, where you can soak in breathtaking panoramic views of the Himalayas, including the majestic Machhapuchhre (6997m) and Annapurna (8091m) peaks. You will enjoy the beautiful sunset from the Stupa before returning to your hotel in Pokhara for a comfortable overnight stay.

The next morning, you will wake up early and head to Sarangkot to witness the stunning sunrise over the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountain ranges, as well as the iconic Machhapuchhre peak (6997m). This breathtaking sight is a once-in-a-lifetime experience that you won't want to miss. For the adventurous, there is also an opportunity to paraglide from Sarangkot and experience the thrill of soaring over the magnificent landscape.

Afterwards, you will visit Davis Falls, a fascinating waterfall that cascades into an underground tunnel. Next, you will explore the Bat Cave, a mysterious and intriguing underground cavern that is home to a large population of bats.

In the evening, you will have some free time to relax and enjoy the beautiful lakeside views of Pokhara. This is a perfect opportunity to reflect on your wonderful journey and prepare for your return home. You will spend your last night in Pokhara, savoring the memories of your adventure in Nepal.

On the last day of your tour, you will bid farewell to Pokhara and make your way back to Kathmandu. As you drive, you will be treated to picturesque views of rolling hills and meandering rivers.

Along the way, you will visit the historic town of Gorkha and climb to the top of a hill to explore the ancient palace of the Shah dynasty. Here, you will also have the opportunity to visit the Gorakhnath and Kali temples, and admire the breathtaking views of the Manaslu and Ganesh Himal mountain ranges (7422m).

After your visit to Gorkha, you will continue your journey back to Kathmandu, where you will enjoy a farewell dinner hosted by Himalaya Land Treks. This will be a perfect opportunity to reflect on your journey and say goodbye to the friends you've made along the way. Finally, you will retire to your hotel for a well-deserved rest, marking the end of your incredible tour of Nepal.

On the day of departure, after enjoying a hearty breakfast, it will be time to say goodbye to Nepal and head back home. Our representative will take you to Tribhuvan International Airport in plenty of time for your scheduled flight.

As you reflect on your unforgettable adventure, you may want to take a moment to soak in the sights, sounds, and smells of Kathmandu for one last time. If time permits, you may even choose to do some last-minute shopping for souvenirs or gifts for loved ones back home.
