Nepal Cultural Tour takes you around the heritage sites in Nepal and some of the most beautiful places. This tour offers you the view of the Himalayas along with the visit of cultural places. Nepal cultural tour takes you around Kathmandu valley, Nagarkot, Gorkha, Manakamana temple and Pokhara. Few of the places you’ll visit on this tour by Himalaya Land Treks are Swayambhunath, Pashupatinath, and Nagarkot among others. 
Your tour starts from sightseeing in Kathmandu valley. You’ll visit Kathmandu Durbar Square, Patan Durbar Square, Swayambhunath, Boudhanath, and Pashupatinath in Kathmandu. Then, you’ll drive to Nagarkot and stay a night there. Next morning, you’ll view the sunrise and the Himalayas from the top of Nagarkot. 
Furthermore, you’ll drive to Bhaktapur and explore Changunarayan Temple, Bhaktapur Durbar Square, and Naytapola. The very next day, you’ll drive to Pokhara along the Prithivi highway with beautiful scenery of hills. On the way, you visit the Manakamana temple riding the cable car from Kurintar and return to Kurintar. Then, you’ll continue your drive to Pokhara. Next day, you’ll visit the Phewa Lake, Barahi temple, Mahendra cave, and World Peace Stupa. You can enjoy the panoramic sunset views from the Stupa.
Following day, you’ll drive to Sarangkot to view the sunrise along with the beautiful Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. Then, you’ll drive to Davis falls and Shiva cave. You’ll relax at the lakeside in the evening. Lastly, you return to Kathmandu visiting Gorkha. You’ll visit the royal palace of Shah and then return to Kathmandu. Autumn and spring season offers nice views with calm weather, so, these serve as best seasons for the Nepal cultural tour.

Itinerary of Nepal Cultural Tour

Day 1: Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu (1300m/4265ft)

Overnight at 3 star Hotel

You’ll land in Tribhuvan International Airport and our Himalaya Land Treks’ representative will welcome you and then drive you to our hotel. You’ll have a light meal and then will be introduced to the tour guide. The guide will give a brief orientation about the tour and you will prepare for the tour. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.

Day 2: Full day sightseeing in Kathmandu Valley

Your tour starts with sightseeing in the Kathmandu valley. This day, you explore the places that represent the ancient Nepal that is, Kathmandu Durbar Square and Patan Durbar Square. In those places, you can observe the architecture and history of Nepal. Later, you’ll visit the Swayambhunath Stupa and Boudhanath Stupa which are the major pilgrimage sites for Buddhists. Next, you’ll visit the Pashupatinath temple, which is a holy temple of Lord Shiva. After sightseeing in Kathmandu valley, you’ll drive to Nagarkot. The drive gives you some glimpse of green hills and fields of rice, wheat, etc. Overnight stay in Nagarkot.

Day 3: Sunrise View from Nagarkot (2175m/7136ft) and Bhaktapur Sightseeing with Changunarayan Visit


You wake up early morning and head to the top of Nagarkot to view the sunrise. You see the sun rising through the series of Himalayas and the view is magnificent. Nagarkot is a spot to view the Himalayas in Ganesh Himal, Jugal, and Langtang ranges. After the sunrise, you can visit the small Tamang settlements and also ride a horse if interested. After lunch, you return to Kathmandu valley and visit Changunarayan temple. Then, you visit the Bhaktapur Durbar Square and Naytapola. Overnight stay in Bhaktapur.

Day 4: Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara (820m/2690ft) via Manakamana Mandir Visit. O/N Stay in Pokhara


Further, you drive to Pokhara from Kathmandu valley. You drive from the city area until you reach Thankot. After the twist and turn roads, you reach Naubise and the road goes straighter. After a short drive, you will be accompanied by the Trishuli River. You’ll pass Malekhu and then reach Kurintar. From Kurintar, you ride the cable car and then reach to Manakamana temple which lies in Gorkha district. The temple is one of the biggest Hindu temples in Nepal and sees hundreds of pilgrims every day. After visiting the temple, you return to Kurintar riding the cable car and then head to Pokhara. After around 3 hours of drive, you’ll reach Pokhara. Overnight stay in Pokhara.

Day 5: Pokhara Sightseeing and Explore


After breakfast, you’ll head to Phewa Lake and have a boat ride along with the visit of Barahi temple that lies on the lake. After the boat ride, you'll enjoy the lakeside and have lunch. After lunch, you'll visit the Mahendra cave and drive to World Peace Stupa. You can have a nice view of the Himalayas like Machhapuchhre (6997m) and Annapurna (8091m). You’ll enjoy the sunset from the Stupa and return to the hotel. Overnight stay in Pokhara.

Day 6: Pokhara Sightseeing and Explore


Early morning, you head to Sarangkot and view the beautiful sunrise. With the sunrise, you get to watch Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges along with Mt. Machhapuchhre (6997m). Then, if interested, you can Paraglide as well. Further, you’ll head to Davis Falls and then to Bat Cave. In the evening, you can relax at the lakeside and prepare for your return. Overnight stay in Pokhara.

Day 7: Drive back to Kathmandu via Gorkha Visit | Farewell Dinner

Last day of the tour will be returned journey to Kathmandu. You'll leave Pokhara and then drive along the river with a nice view of hills. On the way, you’ll visit Gorkha and the ancient palace of Shah dynasty at the top of a hill. You can also visit the Gorakhnath temple and Kali temple. You can have a view of Manaslu ranges and Ganesh Himal (7422m) from Gorkha. After exploring the place, you’ll return to Kathmandu. You’ll have a farewell dinner hosted by the Himalaya Land Treks and rest. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.

Day 8: Transfer to international airport for final departure.


After breakfast, you’ll bid farewell and then our representative will take you to Tribhuvan International Airport to attend your scheduled flight. After breakfast, you’ll bid farewell and then our representative will take you to Tribhuvan International Airport to attend your scheduled flight.
