    Trip Overview

Are you ready for an adventure of a lifetime? Look no further than Mera Peak Climbing, the most popular and highest trekking peak in Nepal! With the help of experienced Sherpa guides, Himalaya Land Treks boasts one of the highest success rates for summiting Mera Peak (6476m), located in the Everest, Barun, and Hinku valleys.

You'll be treated to breathtaking scenery along the way, including views of iconic mountains like Mt. Everest (8848m), Ama Dablam (6856m), Kanchenjunga (8586m), and Nuptse (7861m).

Mera Peak is one of the most climbed small peaks in Nepal, boasting three main summits: Mera North (6476m), Mera Central (6461m), and Mera South (6065m). Mera North remains the highest point of the mountain.

The trek begins in Lukla, a traditional Sherpa village, and takes you through other Sherpa villages into the Barun valley. While summiting Mera Peak does require some fitness and altitude training, climbers with varying levels of experience can attempt it.

The Mera Peak Climb trip lasts 17 days, starting with your arrival in Kathmandu City and an initial preparation period of 2 days. Take advantage of the opportunity to explore some of the popular UNESCO world heritage sites and immerse yourself in the cultural richness of the Kathmandu valley.

From there, a short and thrilling 45-minute flight from the world-famous Lukla airport (also known as Tenzing-Hillary Airport) will take you to Lukla town, where you'll begin your trek towards Mera Peak.

One of the major attractions of this trek is the chance to experience the unique culture of the Sherpa community. You'll walk through numerous ethnic Sherpa villages, including Chutang, Zatrwabok, Kothe, and Thangnak, and trek inside the Makalu Barun National Park, home to diverse vegetation and species.

The route to Mera Peak takes you through nature's heart, including steep trails, snow moraines, and numerous crevasses. The summit climb can last over 6 hours, but the views from the top are worth every step, with breathtaking scenery of Everest and the Barun valley, including majestic vistas of Mt. Everest (8848m), Cho Oyu (8201m), Makalu (8475m), Kanchenjunga (8586m), Nuptse (7861m), and Baruntse (7312m). Upon descent, you'll cross the mountain pass of Zatrwa La (4610m) to return to Lukla.

The best time to summit Mera Peak is during the spring (Mar-Jun) and autumn (Sep-Nov) seasons, with winter (Dec-Feb) and monsoon (Jun-Aug) being less than ideal due to heavy snowfall, fog, and rain.
