Overview

Pikey Peak (4065m) is situated in the Solukhumbu region of Nepal. Pikey Peak trek is a newly opened trekking destination for local and international tourists in Nepal. It’s short and can be completed within a week. This trek by the Himalaya Land Treks offers one of the best views of Mt. Everest (8848m).

Sir Edmund Hillary once said, "Pikey peak has the best views of Everest". The lusty green forests, rivers flowing by, the evergreen Sherpa culture all make up for a wonderful trek. The view of mountains and the green valleys are a delightful sight to see. Sunrise and sunset from this viewpoint at 4065m, is quite serene and panoramic.

Our journey begins as you arrive in Kathmandu, our representatives will guide and greet you at the airport. You get to observe and enjoy the beauty of Bhaktapur and Patan, two different and beautiful world heritage sites close to Kathmandu. You will notice the rich history and vibrant culture mixed in a modern lifestyle around these areas.  We begin our journey driving for the day to Dhap. Passing through villages like Jhapre and Chaulakharka we reach Pikey peak. The trail is filled with rhododendron forests, lush valleys, and terraced farming lands.

Pikey peak trek offers you the view of Dhaulagiri (8167m) in the west and Kanchenjunga (8586m) in the east including Everest. It is a trek through the off-beaten path. While on the journey, you will get firsthand experience of the rich Sherpa culture. If lucky enough, you might get to see the lively community dance. Pikey peak trek is an easy one and offers a great view- hence, it is gaining popularity in recent times.

We, at Himalaya Land Treks, have been organizing a trek to Pikey Peak for a long time now. We have had wonderful reviews in the past about this particular trek.
