When to Do the Poon Hill Sunrise Trek: Best Time of the Year

If you're planning to embark on the Poon Hill Sunrise Trek, it's important to know the best time of the year to do it. Generally, the autumn (September to November) and spring (March to May) seasons are considered the best times to undertake this trek.

During these seasons, the weather is mild, and the skies are clear, providing excellent visibility of the stunning mountain peaks. The temperature during these seasons is also comfortable for trekking, making it a popular time for hikers.

The pre-monsoon (March to May) and post-monsoon (September to November) seasons are also recommended by many trekkers. However, it's important to note that during the monsoon season (June to August), the trails can be slippery and challenging, and there is a higher risk of landslides and floods, making it less favorable for trekking.

On the other hand, the winter season (December to February) is also not recommended for the Poon Hill Sunrise Trek due to heavy snowfall and harsh weather conditions.

It's worth noting that the Poon Hill Sunrise Trek is a moderate trek that does not require any prior trekking experience. It's a great way to experience the natural beauty and cultural richness of the Annapurna region while also challenging yourself physically.
